The Liquid Recovery Unit (LRU) offers enhanced safety, a reduction in environmental pollution and an opportunity to make significant savings in operational costs.
- Ideal for oil based mud spillages
- Stainless steel holding tank with 1 barrel capacity
- Air driven, can be safely operated in hazardous areas
- The robust stainless steel frame protects against impact damage
Overview
This versatile unit can be operated manually or in fully automatic mode. In automatic mode the fluid is recovered through a built-in filter into the holding tank. When the holding tank is full, the unit automatically switches to discharge mode before reverting back to suction mode. During the recovery of a spillage, the operator does not need to return to the unit until the operation is complete.
The LRU is primarily designed to solve problems of oil-based mud spillages on offshore rigs and land locations, but has numerous alternative applications. As well as cleaning drill floors, decks, mud rooms and pipe racks, the LRU can be used for drain cleaning, drying surfaces prior to painting, skimming surface contamination of liquids, inter-tank transfers, ballast tanks and void space cleaning and cleaning up oil spills in yards.
